If you love working with your hands, solving problems, and helping homeowners, but are tired of the headaches of running your own business—like chasing down payments, bidding on jobs, and managing marketing—this role is for you. We handle the scheduling, billing, and customer acquisition so you can focus on what you do best: high-quality craftsmanship. As a Craftsman with our team, you will help local homeowners in Lansing and the surrounding areas with a wide variety of repair and improvement projects. You will get the independence of working in the field, backed by the support, scheduling, and reputation of an established brand. What Success Looks Like On a day-to-day basis, you will travel to scheduled residential jobs. Your typical day will include: Reviewing your daily schedule and arriving promptly at clients' homes with your own tools and vehicle. Evaluating repair needs and explaining the process clearly to the homeowner before starting work. Completing a variety of home repairs and improvement tasks, including carpentry, drywall patching, basic plumbing adjustments, light electrical fixtures, and tile work. Maintaining a clean, safe, and organized workspace, ensuring you leave the home in clean condition. Over time, success in this role means building a reputation for reliability and quality. You will become a trusted partner for our clients, often being requested by name for repeat projects, and consistently delivering work that meets our high standards. Qualifications What you need to bring (Must-Haves): Proven, hands-on experience in home repairs, remodeling, or maintenance trades. A reliable vehicle capable of safely hauling your tools and materials to various job sites. Your own standard set of hand and power tools to complete everyday home repairs. Strong communication skills and a friendly, respectful approach to customer service. Excellent punctuality and a professional, clean appearance. You must live within 30 minutes drive of downtown Lansing. Great to have, but not required (Nice-to-Haves): Advanced skills in a specific trade, such as finish carpentry or custom tile layout. Experience estimating material costs and project timelines. Compensation and Benefits Pay Rate: $25.00 to $27.00 per hour. Performance Bonuses: Additional earning potential based on efficiency and customer satisfaction. Steady Work: Year-round, consistent schedules without the seasonal lulls of independent contracting. Flexible Scheduling: We work with you to establish a schedule that respects your work-life balance. Benefits Package: Health insurance options and a 401(k) retirement plan are available after 90 days of employment. #J-18808-Ljbffr
